The Greenwood Lady Bulldog soccer team continued their winning ways with a second straight conference win Friday beating the Vilonia Eagles by a score of 5-2.

Kristin Simmons began the scoring for Greenwood early in the game driving into Vilonia territory shooting a goal that slipped past the fingertips of the Eagle's goalie.

The second half would begin much the same with Greenwood's Rachel Fritsche scoring in the opening minutes followed by two scores by Katy Baldridge to make the score 4-0 with 22 minutes on the clock.

Vilonia would find the goal for the first time ten minutes later but the Lady Bulldogs would answer with another score by Aubren Morris. One last score by Vilonia would bring their total to two.

"Our defense has been doing a great job led by Page Heller and our goalie Amy Borota," said Coach Chris Young. "Tonight was the first time Amy has given up a goal and neither one of those were her fault so she has played really well for us."

The boys came from behind to snatch the win from Vilonia 3-2. Inaki Soroeta scored the first goal for Greenwood with a header on a corner kick, Dylan Flatte scored on a penalty kick for the Bulldogs and Zach Turpin chested the ball into the goal to secure the win for Greenwood.
