Lady Bulldog golf wins 2003 AAAA State Championship

The girls' shot a 269 to take first by 15 strokes over Greene County Tech

The Greenwood Girls' Golf Team defended their State Championship on Saturday, October 18 at Hope Country Club.

The girls' shot a 269 to take first by 15 strokes over Greene County Tech, who shot a 284. White Hall finished third with a score of 292. Greenwood was again led by Sara Nicholls, who shot an 82 to force a playoff for Medallist.

Sara won the playoff on the 1st hole against Jenna Chadwick of Malvern. Also for Greenwood, Kimber Phillips, freshmen shot a 93. Senior Jennifer Lemley, a member of last years' championship, shot a 94. Senior Elizabeth Hope shot a 112. Sarah, Kimber, and Jennifer all finished in the top 10.

Sara will continue her golf season when she competes at the Overall Championships on October 28 at Pine Bluff.
