Greenwood Golf Moves to 9-0 on the Year

The boys’ and girls’ golf teams are eight days away from the start of their conference tournament and they have torn up their opponents so far this season.

9/4 vs Van Buren: Greenwood traveled to the Eagle Crest golf course last Tuesday to take on the Van Buren Pointers. The boys came away with a 166-183 win in a nine hole match.

The Bulldogs were led by Evan Griffith, who continued his amazing year with a 36. Brady Fein and Landon Tuck were just a few strokes behind Griffith with a 41 and 43.

Bradley Brotherton, Hayden Weaver, and Cameron Adams rounded up things for Greenwood as they finished on the scorecard with a 46, 47, and 49 respectively. This win kept the GHS boys perfect for the year.

The GHS Lady Bulldogs all played very well as they walked away with a win to remain undefeated. Greenwood was led by Jordyn Lane (43), Ella Austin (46), and Grace Woody (46). Hallie Jones and Senior, JJ Mohetau were right behind them with scores of 47 and 48, respectively.

9/6 vs Rogers Heritage and Deer: The Bulldogs traveled to the Blossom Way golf course to take on Heritage and Deer, and they walked away with two more wins for the season.

The GHS Lady ‘Dogs shot a 138 to win two matches and move their record to 9-0 this season. Greenwood was led by the lone senior, Mohteau, who scored a 43. Austin was right behind her, finishing with a 45.Hallie Jones, Jordyn Lane, and Grace Woody wrapped up the win for Greenwood with a 50, 51, and 52 respectively. The Lady Bulldogs begin their State Championship run on September 24th.

Griffith led the pack again for Greenwood against Rogers Heritage and Deer as he shot a 34. Tuck tacked on a strong performance for Greenwood as he scored a 39.Senior, Brotherton, hit a 43 while Fein and Weaver notched a 40 and 48. The GHS boys’ golf team travels to Russellville tomorrow for an 18 hole match.
