Diamond 'Dogs had their hands full with visiting Farmington

The ‘Dogs had their hands full with the visiting Cardinals of Class 5A Farmington, a conference opponent. Greenwood trailed 3-2 in the second inning before scoring solo runs in the third and fourth frames. The Cards countered with single runs in the third and seventh in the 6-5 GHS win.

Blake Pschier was the starting and winning hurler for Greenwood, making it through four innings with a 6-4 lead. He allowed four hits and one earned run, striking out six and walking just one. He also drove home a run in third. Pschier was relieved by Jace Presley, who got the three-inning save.

Brandon Woolsey and Connor Noland had two hits each in the contest, and Noland had two RBIs, along with Jackson Webb. Woolsey, Noland, and Peyton Holt all had doubles.
