The Greenwood football booster club has come up with a creative way to raise money for the 2008 football season. They will be selling bricks at $50 a piece that can be engraved with an inscription and will be placed in the South end of Smith-Robinson Stadium by the main gate and the flag poles between the sidewalk and the track fence.

The bricks may be moved in the future if the club decides to build a new building to replace the existing Booster Club booth.

Head Coach Rick Jones stated that the goal is to sell 1,000 bricks and have the first order installed by the first game of the 2008 season. There can be up to three lines on each brick with 14 characters per line.

Order forms can be downloaded at
www.greenwooddogpound.com and mailed to the Greenwood Booster Club at P.O. Box 1621 Greenwood, Ark. 72936. Checks should be made payable to the Booster Club with a separate order form for each brick ordered.

"I think that this is a great way to commemorate your dedication and loyalty to the Bulldogs," said Jones. "We have names on the sidewalks here of all the graduating classes and this will fit in well with that theme and we expect the bricks to be here for a long, long time."
