The Bulldogs shutout the Pointers in their preseason scrimmage. The Greenwood JV team won 14-0 in their half of play lead by sophomore quarterback Tyler Shook.
Senior back-up quarterback Matt Sindelar lead the second group to a 28-0 win in the half of play their squad had on the field.
Tyler Wilson lead the Varsity squad the last half of play in the scrimmage and in the two series the starters were in lead 14-0. Wilson was 8 of 10 passing for 131 yards. That included a 45 yard completing on the first play from scrimmage for the Varsity team. The Varsity team did have four holding calls, which disappointed head coach Rick Jones.
"We did OK, but four holding calls and they convert about five 3rd and 12's, that doesn't mean you're pleased when it's all said and done," said Jones. "There was some poor execution and some good execution. I thought overall the effort was pretty good. I just thought our offense would be crisper, but I have high expectations for this offense with all that we have back."
