Bulldogs March On Saints
Junior Zach Turpin goes in for the Touchdown for the Bulldogs. Turpin leads the Bulldogs in receiving yards so far this season with 12 catches for 327 yards.
Pictures Below By: Kim Singer 9-14-07 Greenwood and Shiloh Christian hooked it up once again to close out the nonconference schedule. The series has been renewed for another two years. Shiloh Christian struck first with 7:24 to go in the first quarter on a 79-yard pass play from Blake Roberts to Zann Jones. Greenwood would answer quickly on a 51-yard pass from Tyler Wilson to Zach Turpin less than a minute later with 6:28 to go in the quarter. Greenwood would pull ahead 10-7 after a 32-yard field goal by Austin Hartness. Trey Hopkins crossed the goal line as time expired on the first quarter on a 6-yard run to put the Bulldogs up 17-7. The Saints would not away quietly though and would add two additional touchdowns in the second quarter one on a 43-yard pass and the other a 7-yard pass. Greenwood tacked on three additional touchdowns of their own during the quarter on a 12-yard pass to Zach Turpin, 19-yard pass to CJ McCraney and 15-yard run by Trey Hopkins, to take a 38-21 lead into half-time. The Bulldogs got close to putting the mercy rule on the Saints in the third quarter going up 52-21, but the Dogs were called off with a comfortable lead in place. The Saints still playing their starters against the Bulldogs second string added a pair of touchdowns late in the fourth quarters to pull the Saints to 52-35.
