The Dog Pound is a fan based website. 6-22-07 William Ridener represented Greenwood in the All Star football game at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. The All Star game put the best seniors from the East and West in the state. Former Bulldog head coach Ronnie Peacock, currently at Rogers was the head coach for the West team and the Legendary "The General" Don Campbell from Wynne coached his final game after announcing his retirement as the head coach from the East. The East team won the game 23-13 breaking a seven game winning streak for the West. Ridener only had 3 carries for 14-yards and 1 reception for 10-yards for the night. He will however, be remembered for his high school career as a Bulldog as a key player in the back to back state championship seasons. Ridener's put together some amazing stats in just two seasons as a Bulldog during his high school career after transfering from Hackett. Ridener had 414 carries for 2,883-yards and 89 receptions for 909-yards as a Bulldog. Along with being named the State Championship game MVP in 2005. "Greenwood made me into a great runningback, great person, great catcher, great receiver, just about everything they could've done," said Ridener after the All Star Game. West head coach Ronnie Peacock loved being able to coach Ridener. "I just fell in love with him," said Peacock. "He's a hard nosed kid and catches the ball well. Tough runner, got a good stiff arm. He's exceptional, he's an outstanding back." Ridener has no plans currently to play college ball, but would welcome interest from schools. "My last three carries," said Ridener reflecting that could've very well been the end of his football career. If it was, Ridener put together an exceptional career to be proud of.
