Greenwood senior starting quarterback Tyler Wilson competed against the top quarterbacks in the state in the QB1 Top Gun quarterback challenge in Springdale. The two day event put the quarterbacks through a number of competitions. Wilson was not the only quarterback out of the 5-A West, as Vilonia's Kevin Pluckett and Siloam Springs Nathan Nall were also in the 12 man field in the challenge. Wilson finished third in the Throwing Accuracy competition of the event and made it to the finals in the Deep Ball competition. Zac McCauley from Benton won the Overall Top Gun challenge for 2007 with 366 points. "It was a great time being out here, I learned some things, as far as being a quarterback," said Wilson. "Being here was great fun. I would've loved to have done better than this and shown a little better, but it didn't happen. I loved being here though and it was an honor to be here." Wilson currently has quarterback college football scholarship offers from: LSU, Alabama, Missouri, Minnesota, Arizona, Kansas, New Mexico, Hawaii, Tulsa and the latest offer from Oregon. Wilson plans to make is college choice before the upcoming Bulldog football season.
