GREENWOOD, AR. — Greenwood High School 2 Time 5A All-State Senior Quarterback Tyler Wilson took a un-official visit to the University of Arkansas on Sunday and was offered a scholarship by Head Coach Bobby Petrino. Tyler Wilson willingly accepted it and has informed Tulsa University Offensive Coordinator Gus Malzahn of his de-commitment. Tyler also received Division I offers from Alabama, LSU, Arizona, Oregon, Hawaii, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota and most recently Nebraska.
Tyler finished his career at Greenwood with a 24-4 record as a starter, 588-907 for 65 percent completion rate, 8,161 yards with 93 touchdowns and 28 interceptions. Tyler led his team to the 5A state championship for the third consecutive year by defeating Little Rock Christian 27-6 and was also named the Most Valuable Player for the championship.
