The Bulldogs started their conference play one day delayed because of weather, but started it it the way the wanted with a mercy rule sweep of Morrilton.
"We got out of the gate early and stayed focused and aggressive on the field," said Bulldog head coach Randy Gardner. "Brad Gilliam had another stellar and efficient outing. He works fast and keeps his defense sharp behind him."
"Brennan Rogers had another big game at the plate," said Gardner. He has worked really hard since last spring and it's good to see him reaping the benefits of his labor."
"Daniel Ramsey was sharp and threw with good velocity today (second game)," said Gardner. "Offensively we put a lot of pressure on their young defense. Our kids take a lot of pride in swinging the bat and are in constant competition with each other. They have really been pushing each other to get better at practice every day. Wwe will have a tough test at defending state champion Harrison on Tuesday."
