Greenwood (5-1, 12-3) keeps the conference winning streak going with a two game sweep of conference foe Clarksville.
Micah Spahn ptiched 6 1/3 innings earning the win for the Bulldogs. Mark Leon earned the save with three outs on 4 pitched balls.
In the game the 4 hole through the 8 hole combined to go 10 for 14 and lived up to the billing as the "meat" of the lineup.
Brandon Dunn had a 2 run monster mash homer over the center field fence in the top of the 7th. Dunn went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's for Game One. Jantzen Black was 3 for 4 and Ed Woods 2 for 3.
The Bulldogs led the Panthers 4-1 going into the 7th inning. The bats would come alive for both teams in the last inning with the Bulldogs scoring 5 and Clarksville scoring 4.
In Game Two Brandon Dunn got the call to take the mound and he went the distance pitching all 7 innings allowing only 2 hits and posting 8 strikeouts. Casey Benincosa went 2 for 2, Jason McDonald 2 for 3, Mark Leon was 2 for 3 and kept the first and second baseman busy in the 4th inning scoring 3 runs for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs hitting once again came alive in the 7th inning with 3 doubles posted by Jason McDonald, Cory Allison, Brandon Dunn and a triple by Casey Benincosa.
Casey Benincosa was the overall hitter for the night going 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI's. His hits included 2 triples and a single.
Greenwood moved up to being tied with Greenbrier at the top of the 4A standings after the wins with only 1 conference loss. Greenwood split with Greenbrier last week.
