Great Season, Great Kids, Great Seniors

Greenwood set a school record of wins in 2004 going 26-7.
Along the way the Bulldogs won the AAAA-West Conference Championship and set state records for number of hits and runs scored in a game.
Head Baseball Coach Craig Jones looks back on the 2004 season and on each of his seniors.
"We probably went higher than the expectations of some. I thought we competed hard all year long. Great kids, great seniors. I'm going to miss those senior kids. They gave it everything they had, they just came up short against Sylvan Hills. A very successful season, We'll take 26 wins anytime."
"Cory Allison, Great player for us on the bump and at short, key component, kind of set the tone moving runners around, getting the job done when he had too, coming up with big games on the mound."
"Casey Benincosa, Just a hard nose catcher. Turn around stick him on the mound and he goes 7-0, that's a great year for us too, when you can do that."
"Jantzen Black, Solid player, great defensively, hits the heck out of it. Great hitter, set some school records in average and hits. Very versatile player for us too, short stop, pitcher some."
"Tieler Driscoll, really surprised me, he'd always had trouble with this swing and all of a sudden it just clicked there for about 2-3 week span there he got hot and with him in there in that 8 hole, base hit after base hit. Still end up hitting about 378. Had a great year, we was glad to see him. Best defensive outfielder we had, wasn't blessed with speed, but he knew how to go catch it and we had to have that out of him. He did a good job."
"Mark Leon, One of the hardest working kids I've ever had to play for me. He worked very hard everyday. Made himself into a great pitcher 8-1 this year. He struggled early swinging, then got on a streak and we kind of rode him for a little white with the bat. Anytime you can get a lefty to go out there and stick you 8 wins, we'll take it every year."
"Jason McDonald, Great center-fielder, not the fastest kid in the world, but getting a break on the ball, he was one of the best we had at going and getting the ball and making outs and he knew how to do it. He stepped up and hit about 360 four us this year. Led us in doubles had a great year."
"Ed Woods, Really stepped up this year, numbers went really up hit 350 for us. Had some power our 9 hole led us in homers a lot of the season with 3 home runs that's nice when you got speed and power at the bottom of your order too."
