Diamond Dogs Split With Greenbrier

3-25-04 By: Brian Vaughn
To only give up only two runs in 15-innings in two games, using only two pitchers in high school baseball is usually an outstanding outing for a team, but when you come home with only one win out of the two games, there's no one on the bus satisfied, especially the coach.
"We can't hit the ball, that was plain and simple," said Bulldog head coach Craig Jones. "We get two hits off a guy we should get base hits off of. We don't have anybody to come up and make an adjustment. We've seen it for eight innings."
The Greenbrier Panthers (4-4, 2-4) got the only score of the ball game in the bottom of the 8th-inning to give them the win over the Bulldogs 1-0 in the second game of a double-header at Panther Field.
